About this item

Three heartwarming made-for-television movies feature Hollywood icon Peter Falk ("Columbo," The Princess Bride) as Max, a quirky guardian angel who helps guide others on the right path. A Town Without Christmas stars Patricia Heaton ("The Middle," "Everybody Loves Raymond") as a television reporter assigned to find a young child who wrote a letter to Santa Claus wishing to leave the world so he will no longer be a burden to his divorcing parents. At the same time, the small community has cancelled the annual Christmas pageant, causing much strife. With the help of Max, everyone has new hope in the magic of the holiday season. A Town Without Christmas originally aired in 2001 on CBS. Falk reprises his role and is joined by Valerie Bertinelli ("Hot In Cleveland," "Touched By An Angel") and David Cubitt ("Medium") in Finding John Christmas, originally airing on CBS in 2003. A photo of a stranger, dubbed "John Christmas" by the locals, performing an act of bravery quickly becomes headline news in a small Bay City town. Convinced the stranger is her long-lost brother, Kathleen (Bertinelli) sets out to find his true identity. In When Angels Come To Town, Max gets in trouble with his heavenly supervisor who comes to earth to discipline him for contacting the wrong family in need of his help at Christmastime. The 2004 television movie also stars Katey Sagal ("Sons of Anarchy").
